This is a very basic fundamental class, featuring safety, functionality and then
first time shooting of a handgun. This is for anyone wanting to take those first shots without becoming overwhelmed with all the information in the other classes. This is only a 4 hour class and we will be shooting at a local indoor range. Gun rentals are available as well as ammunition and will be based on a case by case scenario. Handgun rental will include a .22 handgun and 30 rounds of ammunition for $20.00. Other calibers are available upon request along with ammo, we just need reimbursement for the ammo.

Speak to Kendra in regards to purchasing any of the magazines or books. We can also sign you up to become an NRA member! With your NRA membership, you will recieve a 1 year subscription to an NRA published magazine. We have FREE literature available to all of our students, and will be happy to assist with trying to determine what defensive protection tools to add to your every day carry!

Commonwealth of Kentucky approved course taught by Kentucky Dept of Justice certified instructor, Kendra Tipton. Bring eye and ear protection, qualification will take place at a local indoor range. You DO NOT have to own a s handgun for this class, if one is needed, please ask about information or additional details for qualifying. Need 11 out of 20 hits on target to pass.

Qualifying at a local outdoor range.
National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Pistol, Rifle Instructor, Personal Protection in the Home and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, Kendra Tipton will provide instruction. Bring eye and ear protection, qualification will be done at a local indoor range. You can rent a handgun for an additional $20.00 which includes 30 rounds of ammo with a .22 for qualifying. Indoor ranges have additional handguns available to rent, however ammo must also be purchased at the range. Please register in advance for the class!
